Patric Kuo

From 2001 – 2006 Patric Kuo studied ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics, singing and musical theatre at Brent Street Studios. He started hip hop in 2007 and between 2007 and 2009 performed with Urban Dance Project, JTown and Nufirm before forming his own crew, Too Much Bun in 2009. He has performed with A-Live Entertainment on numerous occasions as well as numerous appearances as a backup dancer on the X-Factor in 2009 and at performances at the Australian Dance Festival for the last three years. Patric has taught numerous workshops including Aussie Dance Camp, Deja Workshops, Australian Dance Festival, Coastal Boogie and Dance Academy Ballet Bootcamp.

Too Much Bun have appeared at Industry and Carnival as well as at various showcases, workshops and corporate events. The crew also were awarded first place at a number of Competitions around Australia, including the Freestyle Battles, 360 United and in 2011 were crowned the Champions of Vanity’s Supreme Hip Hop Competition, defeating many of Sydney’s best crews. In 2010 Too Much Bun combined forces with Instant Rawkus and Skill@Will to form Instant Bun which allowed choreographer, Kuo, to explore diverse genres of dance and music to create a unique identity, widely recognized for their comic parody and willingness to transcend boundaries.

During 2011 Instant Bun were in high demand as headline performers around Australia appearing as guests of honour at Beef Week in Casino, NSW, and functions such as the Vodafone Mid Year Staff party as well as invited judges and guest act at the Sin City Hip Hop Competition. Instant Bun were contestants on Australia’s Got Talent, 2011, reaching the Grand Final and receiving the fourth highest number of votes out of more than 10,000 entrants. In January 2012 Instant Bun were the only international act invited to perform at the 10th Anniversary of Carnival: The Choreographers’ Ball in Los Angeles USA where they closed the show.

His other skills include magic and juggling which he frequently incorporates in his choreography.
